House sit Rosevears
Assignment Requirements
You would have the choice between staying in the main house, or our small cottage. The main house is a large two-bedroom federation country home with a split system heat pump and a large combustion fireplace for the winter months. The cottage is also cosy and warm with a split system heat pump. It has one large double bedroom upstairs and a small single bedroom downstairs. The whole property has wonderful views over kanamaluka (Tamar River).
We have two very old hens, who are past laying. They may have departed their earthly coil by the time of the house sit.
You would need to have your own car.
Tasks include:
- Caring for and eating from our large vegie garden. It does not need much attention during spring, just occasional watering if thereâs been no rain, and as much weeding as you can manage. (The weeds are rather slow growing through winter, and really come to life during spring). We also have a small orchard, but there will be nothing to do there in spring.
- Picking up our mail
- Caring for our two chooks (if they are still with us), by letting them out of their coop each morning and letting them back in each evening, topping up their food in the coop, and cleaning out the coop as needed.
