Our major requirement is for someone to look after our 2 cavoodles, who are currently almost 2 yrs old and 2yrs 3mths old. One or both of us has been at home much of the time since they joined our family as puppies, so they are very, very accustomed to having almost full-time human company (and their laps to sit on). They are very sweet little boys and are the absolute best of friends.

Our house is roomy and comfortable but not huge either and is easy to look after. Our adult daughter lives in a 'granny flat' at the back of our home. She regularly feeds them and takes them for a daily walk if we are away no more than 3 days. They know her well and she loves them but they can't go in her unit as she has a cat. It seems that on the few times we have been away for 2 or 3 nights, the dogs fret, often won't eat properly and mooch around outside her unit much of the day.

We do have a large garden but our daughter is proficient with maintaining the lawns, trimming hedges etc, but not so much weeding!. She is also our general 'maintenance person' as she is very capable at 'fixing' things so she would continue with those duties. We also have a chicken run with 2 chooks and another duty she has is to let them out each mornings andput them to bed each evening.

I have a large artist's studio on the property and any interested house-sitter is welcome to use this space.
