House sit GUNDOWRING

Gundowring offers a quiet, rural rhythm, distinctly different from urban living. Morning routines often involve a leisurely walk with your charge along the quiet country roads that wind through the Kiewa Valley. Traffic is minimal, allowing for peaceful strolls where the only sounds are often the river and local birdlife. This slower pace naturally extends to pet care; dogs accustomed to country life appreciate the expansive outdoor space, though always ensure they are on-leash, given the presence of livestock and native wildlife. For daily outings, explore the unsealed lanes directly accessible from the property, offering gentle gradients and views of the surrounding farmland and distant hills. Depending on the specific property, a short walk might lead to public access points along the Kiewa River, providing a refreshing change of scenery for both you and a water-loving companion. Observe kangaroos grazing at dawn and dusk; maintaining a safe distance is key. Remember that local amenities are a drive away, so factor in travel time for groceries or supplies from Tawonga South or Mount Beauty. When pet duties allow for a longer excursion, the wider Kiewa Valley beckons. Weekends might involve a drive to Mount Beauty for supplies and perhaps a coffee, or extending further to Bright for a different pace and access to the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail for a more substantial walk or cycle. Yackandandah offers a charming historic main street for a weekend afternoon. These short trips provide a welcome change of environment without detracting from the peaceful base in Gundowring.
