Assignment Requirements

We have one small super cute, cuddly and well behaved Lhasa apso dog (11yo) and one Maine coon cat (5yo) we are looking for someone to care for while we are away.

They are both inside pets, although there is a dog door so our dog can go out to toilet when needed. We would like someone who is able to stay at the house each night. Our house is 2 storey and is located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. The upstairs area of the house is very large and spacious and is where the housesitter will reside. The main guest bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed with linen supplied. There is also a large ensuite bathroom with shower/spa, lounge room with TV, fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Mac is happy with short or long walks a couple of times a week or more if you desire. Our pets require feeding just morning and night and we will also need our plants watered. The house will be clean and tidy when you arrive and we would just ask that it's clean when we return. Hope to hear from you soon.

About the Area

Maroochydore Sunshine Coast, Queensland
Suburb Insights
A typical Maroochydore morning begins with the sound of gulls and the promise of a gentle stroll. Leash up your canine companion for a walk along the Maroochy River, tracing the path from Picnic Point past Cotton Tree Park. Here, shaded by casuarinas, dogs often meet for a morning sniff. Post-walk, grab a flat white from one of the casual cafes along the Esplanade; many offer water bowls and outdoor seating, perfect for a quick pause before heading back to check on the cat and ensure the home is settled. Midday might involve a quiet read on the veranda or a trip to the nearby grocer on foot, perhaps browsing the Sunday Cotton Tree Markets for local produce. For more energetic pets, the dog-friendly sections of Maroochydore Beach invite a stretch of the legs and a paddle in the shallows. The local bus routes are straightforward for accessing the larger Sunshine Plaza for essentials, though much of daily life can be managed within a comfortable walking radius, minimizing the need for car use. Evenings here settle into a calm rhythm. The coastal air cools, ideal for a final short walk before dusk. This isn't a bustling metropolis; the pace encourages thoughtful care for the pets and property, allowing you to easily maintain routines. You'll find settling into the home's rhythm comes naturally, with river paths and easy access to amenities providing a backdrop of unhurried convenience.
