Assignment Requirements

We will be leaving early on the morning of the 28th February, hence ideal for the sitter to arrive the night before for instructions.

Sitter will have their own room and ensuite. Use of pool, Walk to beach. No gardening required.

We will be back around midday on Sunday 1 March.

We have 2 cats, which will require minimal care. Feed twice a day, make sure the water fountain is kept full. There will be a litter tray set up.

Also one small dog, he sometimes has an issue with one of the cats (Martika) but usually the cat just goes somewhere to hide. The black cat (Cica, pronounced Zitza) seems fine with the dog.

Pepe the dog, does not need walking, in fact he does not like the leash at all and is anxious if taken out of the property. He also just needs feeding and company. He will bark if anyone comes to the door, but will settle well.

About the Area

PORT MACQUARIE Mid-North Coast, New South Wales
Suburb Insights
Life in Port Macquarie follows the gentle rhythm of the tides and the shifting shadows along the Hastings River. Mornings often begin with a slow walk through Koala Open Space or a stroll along the coastal walking tracks that connect various beaches. Many locals favor the quiet stretches of Town Beach for a sunrise walk before heading to the small café strips near the town center for a coffee. Keeping a pet engaged might involve long afternoons at the local parks or watching the waves from a shaded patch of grass. Food enthusiasts find quiet satisfaction in the weekend farmers' markets or by picking up fresh seafood directly from the docks. The pace here remains unhurried, making it easy to settle into a routine of reading on a veranda or exploring the nearby hinterland trails. While public transport links the main hubs, most people find that a bicycle or a short drive is the best way to navigate between the sleepy residential pockets and the busier waterfront areas.
