Hi, we need a house pet sitter from December 19th to 30th for our 3 dogs, 2 guinea pigs and 6 chooks.
Our home:
Located in Yandina, a 4700 square metre beautiful bushland property with views over dams and creek.
3 bedroom, able to be fully airconditioned throughout. Has large undercover patio and undercover parking.
The property is mowed by a mowing service, so only light watering of undercover plants would be required.
Our pets:
Bronson is a friendly 4 year old male Boxer who has separation anxiety and does not do well when left by himslelf for long periods of time. As boxers do, he can overheat easily. He has food sensitivites to dairy, gluten and chicken. He refuses to eat unless he is in his own home with a person he knows and trusts.
Lulu is a 2 year old chocolate female miniture poodle who was rescued at 6 months of age. She can be shy of new people and building a relationship before the home stay would be beneficial. She shows her anxiety through hoarding her toys and carrying them in her mouth constantly.
Asha is a six year old chocolate female miniture poodle who was resuced from the same place as Lulu only a few months ago. She has had a hard life and shows her anxiety by freezing and cringing and looking for reasurance. She is very food motivted and eats like each meal is her last.
Guinea pigs Rosie and Zoe live in their fixed cage attached to the chook house. The daily routine includes giving them the comercial feed that will be available and fresh water.
We have 6 chicken who live in the chookhouse and are free range. The daily routine includes keeping the water full and fresh, eggs to be collected and fed a scoop of feed per day. Mats that they roost on at night will needs to be scraped clean onto the grass.
Our requirements:
Bronson will need to build a relationship prior to the house stay through dog walking and feeding. All the dogs are used to having someone at home with them during the day, and we require somebody who is content to spend most of their time on the property with them. Because of the risk of Bronson overheating it may be necessary to cool him down in airconditioning or hosing him down gently, (which he loves).
We will provide plenty of Bronsons special food, which Asha and Lulu also eat to avoid cross contamination. Asha will need to be monitored during mealtimes to ensure she doesn't eat the other dogs food.
Bronson sleeps in his own bed on the floor and the poodles sleep on my bed with me in the main bedroom.
Look forward to meeting you!
Kind regards,
Kelly and Liz
