🏡 SOLO HOUSE & CAT SITTING + AIRBNB CARE – CARLTON, MELBOURNE

About the Opportunity

Hello!

I’m looking for one reliable solo house sitter to stay in my home in Carlton, Melbourne while I’m away in Tasmania.

In exchange for free private accommodation, I need help with:

• caring for my two indoor cats

• looking after the house

• assisting with Airbnb guest check-ins and turnovers

This is perfect for a responsible person who would like comfortable inner-city accommodation and is happy to help with light, organized duties.

What You’ll Receive

• Free private bedroom in a clean, comfortable house

• Full use of kitchen, living areas, and Wi-Fi

• Great Carlton location – close to trams, parks, cafes, and the CBD

• Clear instructions and full support from me while I’m away

Main Responsibilities

🐱 Cat Care

• Feed two friendly indoor cats (Creamy & Princess) twice a day

• Refresh water and clean litter trays

• Give them attention and care

• Keep them safely indoors

They are gentle, affectionate, and very easy to look after.

🧳 Airbnb Support

During this period there will be some Airbnb bookings.

You would help with:

• Greeting guests or handing over keys

• Light cleaning between guests

• Changing bed linen and towels

• Basic guest communication via Airbnb app

(I will remain the main host and manage bookings)

Everything is already well organized with clear checklists and instructions.

Cleaning & House Duties

Between Airbnb guests:

• Vacuum and wipe surfaces

• Change bedding and towels

• Quick bathroom and kitchen clean

• Keep the house tidy and welcoming

• Take care of bins and general home upkeep

All cleaning products and spare linens are provided.

Ideal Candidate

I’m looking for a SOLO sitter who is:

• Responsible, mature, and trustworthy

• Comfortable with cats

• Organized and tidy

• Reliable with check-in/check-out times

• Calm, respectful, and independent

• Ideally with some Airbnb or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)

This role would suit:

• a student

• a digital nomad

• someone visiting Melbourne short-term

• a quiet and responsible traveler

Bonus Option (Optional)

In addition to free accommodation, I’m happy to offer a small bonus payment per Airbnb turnover if needed – happy to discuss with the right person.
