House sit BRADDON

Waking in Braddon, the morning light filters through, signaling the start of a relaxed routine. A short stroll brings you and your charge to Haig Park, a long, leafy expanse perfect for a morning walk. Dogs greet each other under the mature trees as you follow the paths, often heading towards Lonsdale Street afterwards. There, a selection of cafes hums to life; grabbing a flat white becomes an easy post-walk ritual, blending seamlessly into the neighbourhood's easy pace. Even with the city centre close by, daily life here maintains a comfortable, unhurried rhythm. Weekends invite longer explorations. Mount Ainslie’s walking trails are a brief drive or a more ambitious walk away, offering panoramic views over Canberra – a rewarding trek for both you and an energetic dog. Alternatively, the paved paths around Lake Burley Griffin are accessible by bike or a short bus ride from Northbourne Avenue, providing flat, expansive routes for stretching legs. Saturday mornings often draw locals to the Capital Region Farmers Market at EPIC, a short bus trip north, where fresh produce and artisan goods await. After these outings, Braddon settles into a comfortable quiet, a pleasant contrast to its daytime bustle. Living here means easily intertwining an active outdoor life with your pet care responsibilities.
