Assignment Requirements

Hello we have a two storey home, close to supermarkets and shops. We require care for two chooks. A small number of pot plants would require some watering, also. The lawn is mowed by a local business.

We have a dog, who will be travelling with us.

This means our home and yard is dog friendly, we would just ask that dogs be kept downstairs on the tiled area.

Great neighbours and great neighbourhood. Good internet.

Ideal location to explore the Northern Rivers - 20min Ballina. Byron Bay, Evan’s Head or Nimbin half an hour. Numerous national parks close by.

There would be room to park a van on the street/verge outside the house or reversed up onto the double driveway.

About the Area

GOONELLABAH Richmond-Tweed, New South Wales
Suburb Insights
Goonellabah offers a relaxed, elevated pace of life that suits a steady routine of pet care and home upkeep. Many locals spend their mornings walking dogs through the quiet, leafy streets or heading towards the nearby Lismore Base Hospital precinct for a quick coffee. The neighborhood feels settled and connected, with easy access to the Richmond River trails for longer afternoon strolls. You might find yourself grabbing a sourdough loaf at a local bakery before settling into a quiet afternoon reading on a sun-drenched veranda. The suburb serves as a practical gateway to the wider Northern Rivers region, making it easy to reach Lismore for markets or head toward the coast for a day trip. Because the streets are predominantly residential and peaceful, keeping a watchful eye on a garden or a backyard pet feels natural rather than a chore. Life here revolves around small, familiar interactions with neighbors, providing a sense of security while you look after someone else's sanctuary.
