Hi, we are looking for a couple preferably, to look after our 2 kelpie boys and our home for a month. Our boys are a little spoilt and enjoy spending time inside when it’s cold outside. They sleep inside in their own beds. Jack is under one year so although he is learning he still gets excited and jumps when we get home, we need people he won’t knock over easily if he has this behavior when we leave. 3 year old Jim is very well behaved. Very calm and doesn’t jump. We need people who are home most of the time as the boys need to be locked up when you leave the property. They won’t go anywhere while you are home but we aren’t sure what they would do if we left them. Our home is quite isolated with our nearest neighbour about 1km away. It’s a 3 br 1 bathroom home heated by a wood heater. Wood will be cut and split for use while we are away. Recently renovated kitchen and bathroom with a walk-in shower. We are completely off grid so there is just a little to learn about the power system because it will need to be charged on days when it’s very overcast. We have a dishwasher, microwave etc and the house functions as if on grid with the exception of only using the dishwasher and washing machine during the late morning , early afternoon. Nothing scary! We have satellite internet which is very reliable but telstra is the best mobile service. Others are only intermittent. Home is on 20 acres of mainly bush down a dirt road. House is 500 metres from the road so it’s very quiet and peaceful. There will be no bills for power, gas or internet for our sitters. Water is tank water. Nearest supermarket is about 35 kms. General store and pub with meals is about 15 minutes away. Ballarat is 35 minutes and Geelong is 1 hour. We would love lots of photos and videos of our boys while we are away.
