Assignment Requirements

We live in a quiet street in Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. We are seeking people to care for our 3 bedroom house and 2 dogs over the Christmas period 2019. This would suit a single housesitter or a couple, as one of our dogs is a rescue dog and likes to be given the space to come to people in his own time - we've found that kids can sometimes forget that!

Suburb Insights
Life in Palmwoods settles into a slower rhythm, centered around the local station and the main street strip. For house sitters, getting around often involves short drives or walking through the leafy streets to reach the local cafes. If you are looking after dogs, the nearby trails and walking paths offer plenty of shade for afternoon strolls. Grocery runs are straightforward, with essential supplies available at the local stores or via a quick trip to the larger hubs nearby. The town feels quiet, making it easy to focus on the responsibilities of home maintenance and pet care. On market days, the area feels more active, providing a chance to pick up fresh produce while checking in on the neighborhood. While the coast is reachable by car, staying here means embracing a more rural, grounded pace. Accessing the hinterland trails is simple, allowing for long walks that keep both you and a resident pet active and engaged with the surrounding landscape.
