Dates: 11th October 2026 to 11th-November 2026 Location: Altona Meadows Melbourne – close to public transport both train station and bus stops within walking distance.

.About the Sit:

We are looking for a caring, responsible house sitter for one month while we are away. Our home is conveniently located right near public transport, making it easy to get around Melbourne. As an extra bonus, we are happy to make our car available to the right sitter for local trips, grocery shopping.

About Our Dog: The star of the show is our wonderful Catahoula. True to the breed, he is incredibly loyal, intelligent, and very needy! He is a total "velcro dog" who craves human companionship, thrives on a routine, and sleeps in the bed with us at night.

Sitter Requirements: Because our dog needs a lot of attention, this sit is absolutely perfect for a remote worker (WFH), a writer, or a retired couple who will be home for the majority of the day.

We need someone who genuinely loves large, affectionate breeds and is completely comfortable sharing the bed with a furry companion.

If you love loyal working breeds, want a great base to explore Melbourne with public transport, and appreciate having access to a car, we would love to hear from you! Please let us know your experience with large or sensitive dogs. There are no restrictions on the house, but if you can mow a lawn, that would also be super handy.
