We have two dogs: a 5.5yr old lab x kelpie (Sooty) and a 1.8yr old pharaoh hound (Emma). We got both dogs in January as rescue dogs and they are very affectionate, the older dog likes a lot of pats and the younger one is still very much a pup and likes to play. Sooty is very scared of thunderstorms so needs to have someone at home if there is a storm.

We also have 3 very spoilt chickens who are totally free range (Rosie, the older Australorp chook, no longer lays any eggs but is a beautiful old chook who likes to sleep on the top step by the back kitchen door, Speckles and Munto are Araucana's, laying little blue eggs in a nest box in the kitchen).

We live in a small Queenslander and our large backyard is fully fenced so the dogs and chickens cannot get out. We are walking distance to the CBD, Queens Park and the Mary River.

We are going away for a wedding and need someone to take care of our animals.

The dogs need to be fed twice a day and, if possible, taken for a walk. They are not street or traffic wise and the younger one can run very fast. If they can't be taken for a walk then we can take them again when we get home. The most important would be the feeding and being at home in a storm and at night.

The chickens only need to be fed once a day as a minimum - they can be given veggie scraps too.
