🐾 Pet & House Sitter Needed – Berry Springs, NT

I’m looking for a reliable and caring house sitter for approximately 2 months to stay at my home in beautiful Berry Springs and care for my animals while I’m away.

🌴 ABOUT THE HOME

My home is situated on peaceful tropical acreage, approximately 40 minutes south of Darwin, with plenty of outdoor space and a large swimming pool.

🐾 THE ANIMALS

You would be caring for:

🦜 2 indoor parrots & 2 outdoor parrots

🐶 4 very friendly and cuddly Maltese Shih Tzus, including puppies

🐕 1 Maremma, who needs a little time to get to know and trust a new person

There may also be:

🫏 3 miniature donkeys

🐐 3 miniature goats

Their care is quite simple — mainly checking their hay, feeding and making sure they have fresh water.

I’m looking for someone who genuinely loves animals and is happy to be around the home most of the time, as they are used to having regular company.

If you work or have other commitments, please let me know your usual hours so we can see whether the arrangement would suit the animals.

You will have:

• Your own private room

• Your own bathroom while I’m away

• Shared living area with my 2 indoor parrots

• Full access to the large swimming pool

• Peaceful tropical surroundings to enjoy during your stay

Berry Springs is approximately 40 minutes from Darwin Airport.

🛒 IGA, pharmacy, tavern and local services – around 15 minutes' walk

🌿 Berry Springs Nature Park – also within walking distance, with beautiful spring-fed swimming areas, shady picnic spots, walking tracks and local wildlife

🐕 ARRIVING BEFORE THE HOUSE SIT

If possible, I would prefer the sitter to arrive a little before I leave. This gives you time to learn the animals’ routines and allows the Maremma to get to know you and feel comfortable with you before I go.
