Requirements

Our Lucy needs company whilst we are away. She likes a walk in the morning and then is happy just mopping around. In the afternoon she likes to wander down the back yard. A friend of ours comes once a month and gives her a bath but she does need a brush on a daily basis. If you have a dog and think they would get on together, you are more than welcome to bring you 4 legged friend. Our propery is fully fenced and Lucy is an indoor dog who goes out sometimes. Little bit of Lucy food preparation ie mince with veggies.

We have a large 3 bedroom house located in the very friendly town of Howlong. Howlong is located on the banks of the majestic Murray River, and is a picturesque town dotted with beautiful colonial buildings. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating and golf. Howlong is only 20 minutes’ drive west of Albury and a delightful base for wine tasting in the nearby Rutherglen wine region.

Albury is a large town with a population of over 53,000. It has major shopping centres, hospitals and medical facilities, picture theatre and many wonderful coffee shops and dining choices.

Howlong has plenty of sporting facilities: tennis and netball courts; Clubs and grassed-areas for ponies; cricket and Australian Rules Football; a new skate-bowl; a grassed, enclosed dog-walk area; a childrens playground and barbeque-picnic areas, and an open-air swimming-pool. You’ll find many more wonderful things to do and see, including riverside picnics and barbecues at pretty Lions Park, where there is a boat ramp and a sandy beach. You can cast a line into the mighty Murray for native cod, try waterskiing or paddle along the meandering river in a canoe or kayak. There are a lot of nature walks at nearby Chiltern National Park and aslo Wonga Wetlands.Howlong boast a a very popular 18 hole golf course with a wonderful club house, 2 hotels which offer meals most nights, bakery, coffee shops, IGA supermarket, great local butcher, chemist, bank, post office and hairdresser. We are a very friendly town and it won't take long to make friends.

Our house sits on and is located at the end of a dead end street. We look over a billabong and open farm land making it a very private and tranquil location. This also means we have a lot of birds to entertain us. We have wonderful neighbours and we are sure they will make you more than welcome. We have wifi, Foxtel, heating and cooling. Most of the garden is watered by a sprinkler system, but depending on the weather you may have to put on some hoses. Also have some bonsia but again they are watered by a sprinkler system and may only need a top up on very hot days.
