House sit Kurrajong

Evie and Faye are fed twice a day, and water tubs refilled as needed. They may also need rugs changed depending on the weather. Mixing their feeds is a little bit complicated but I will leave detailed instructions. Evie also receives a daily dose of oral paste – she likes the taste so this is very easy for someone who is comfortable with horses.

Embers and Khan are retired and just need water tubs refilled and maybe some hay depending on how much grass we have.

Sasha has a cat door for daytime and is locked inside at night. She is fed dinner in the evening and has biscuits to graze on at any time.

Apart from caring for the animals, regular tasks would be to set the timers to water the garden, water the house plant twice a week, empty the letterbox and take the bins out. The lawn might need mowing once or twice with a ride-on mower.

Our property is on a quiet dead-end street. A car is essential as there is no public transport. We are about 7 minutes’ drive from Kurrajong Village, 15-20 minutes from supermarkets (North Richmond and Richmond) and close to Wollemi National Park. Tourist attractions such as Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens and Hillbilly Cider are only a short drive away up Bells Line of Road, and there are some great local restaurants. Or relax on our spacious verandah and enjoy the rural peace and serenity.

The house is basic but comfortable, with queen-size beds, two fridges, microwave, and everything you would expect to need for your stay. We have reliable nbn internet, good Telstra mobile service, Netflix, Stan and Prime, a dishwasher, clothes dryer, reverse cycle air conditioner and a spa bath. We are on tank water but with recent rain our tanks are full.

Ideally we would like to find a couple to house-sit but an individual would be fine too. We would prefer someone with previous horse experience. You would need your own car as there is no public transport nearby.
