Location: Beechmont, Qld. My home is in the Gold Coast hinterland. It's a 5 bedroom home, highset, with deck and bbq, two living areas and wood burning fireplace. The outlook is spectacular and we have plenty of birds, wallabies and the occasional goanna around the yard. Situated on 2 acres (mowing is taken care of while I'm away), in a quiet cul de sac with lovely neighbours who will make you feel very welcome. Nearest shopping less than 15mins away at Canungra (Foodworks, Fuel, variety of coffee shops), and larger centres are between 25mins (Nerang), 40mins (Harbourtown/Southport etc). About 45 mins to Movieworld, Outback Spectacular, Dreamworld and so on, and about the same to the beach. 20 mins to the beautiful Binna Burra with lots of bushwalks if you enjoy that kind of thing.

I have two blue heelers that I love to bits. My girl Fraser is a spoilt 'inside' girl at night time, while my boy Ceile (pronounced Keely) is an outside boy 24hrs (he has refused to be house trained). Both will love/annoy you with licks and wants for pats so a dog lover is a definite requirement. I also have 5 chooks who live in the Taj Mahal of chook yard/house (my neighbours are happy to check in on them if you're not familiar with chooks) and their eggs are awesome!

While I'm away, there isn't much needed to do other than feed the dogs and give them your attention - and explore this beautiful part of the world. The dogs will need to be kept separate while no-one is home though - that's easy with my house setup and I'll fill you in when we chat, but briefly: Ceile, being a boy, is very protective of the house and will try to boss Fraser around in my absence. That said, they're great together if they have the company of a human and will charge around the house yard playing and chasing balls all day if you're up for it.

As this is a short, two-week period, all power, gas etc is fine, as is internet access (BYO computer and I'll provide the wifi password). Regarding phone: Local and interstate calls are also fine, but 1300/1800/13 numbers and overseas calls will need to be paid for please.
