Requirements

We live on a 20ha block near the town of Jarrahdale. Our property is mainly covered in mature trees and the house sits on an elevated spot, offering beautiful views all the way to the ocean, best sunset views are guaranteed!

While the nearest shops are only a 10min drive away, it is a secluded spot, so you will need to use the car to get around. It’s about an hour drive to Fremantle and Perth. If you love being in nature, seeing kangaroos every day, plus an abundance of birdlife, reptiles and echidnas (if you're lucky), this place is for you. We are also a short drive (or a long walk) away from Serpentine Dam and walking tracks through the area.

Our house has 2 bedrooms, 2 living spaces, one main bathroom, a powder room, and laundry. Bedrooms have roller shutters, ceiling fans, there is ducted air conditioning throughout the house, and a new kitchen. Living spaces have wood burning fireplaces. There is an office space with two standup desks.

You would be taking care of our two dogs. Henry is an eight-year-old Chihuahua/Fox Terrier cross (weighs about 5.5kg), and Millie is a two-and-a-half-year-old Staffie/Kelpie cross (weighs about 12kg). They would like a walk in the morning and the evening, this will be on our property, so there are no interactions with other dogs. While they are not particularly difficult, they are both rescue dogs, so we would like someone who is experienced. Millie is extremely shy in the beginning, and needs a very gentle and patient person.

We also require someone to water our indoor plants occasionally, and keep an eye on the outside garden. While other maintenance work should not be required, it would be good to have someone who has a good understanding of house maintenance, just in case. (For example, we operate on rain water tanks, it could happen that the pump plays up).

Any questions, let us know :)
