We are a professional couple going to the UK and Canada for six weeks in July and August (a mix of work and holiday) and would like someone to care for our home while we are away. We live in a modern three bedroom end of terrace two story home in Crace with friendly neighbours on both sides, both young couples.

There is newly installed reverse cycle heating/air conditioning so the house is lovely and warm. Upstairs, there is also double glazing and blockout/insulating blinds, as well as continuous gas hot water,€“ so no cold showers ever! Downstairs is one big open area which is lovely, with comfy lounges and a beautiful Tasmanian oak dinner table and a piano which you are welcome to play. The kitchen has all you would expect including a gas hob and heaps of cooking equipment (we love to cook). You are welcome to help yourself to anything in the well stocked pantry,€“ though we ask that you provide your own alcohol if you like a drink.

We can organise for you to have use of our car if you need it. Let us know and we can discuss arrangements.

We have a gorgeous one-year-old puppy called Maximus. He has a lovely calm and gentle temperament and is very social. Even though he is still a baby, he weighs 47 kg! We would like someone who would enjoy caring for him and who would be willing to feed him twice a day and take him out for a walk. He has been to puppy school and has also had teen training, so he walks very nicely to heel, sits, lies down etc. He is allowed in the house (downstairs) but he sleeps outside in his king size kennel. You are very welcome to meet him beforehand and get to know him and us if you would like to.

Just so you are aware, this is a strictly no smoking/no parties house.

We look forward to hearing from you and to meeting you. We travel overseas frequently and, now that our youngest child has moved out of home, we will be looking for house sitting on a fairly regular basis. If this suits you, there may be further opportunities in the future.
