** YOU WILL NEED YOUR OWN VEHICLE ** please see important notes

Hey there!! We are looking for a single person or a mature couple to stay at our home and look after our two cats and three chooks while we take an overseas trip for a month. We have a lovely house at the top of hill in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges surrounded by stunning nature.

Cats: They will both need supervised feeding once a day and both cats are permitted outside during daytime only. The litter trays are to be cleared daily and cleaned weekly.

Chooks: The chook-house will need to be opened in the mornings and closed in the evenings. Their food supplies will need to be topped up every few days and the chook-house cleaned weekly.

Home Amenities: The house has ducted heating throughout, a wood heater and Air Conditioning in the living room. There is also decent WIFI. There is a very large decking area (on stilts) to enjoy the beautiful forest scenery- including horses, kangaroos, rosellas, kookaburras and cockatoos.

Important notes:

1. You will definitely need a vehicle

2. We DO NOT have a television. (although we have a box-set that you can connect to your own computer)

Ideally we are looking for house-sitters that live within Victoria who would be interested in return visits.

Local Amenities: The very closest shops including supermarkets are a 5 min drive away as is the closest train station (Tecoma) that will take you into the city. There is a fabulous cinema and a variety of eateries with 5 minutes also. For alternative lifestyles here are a variety of options for yoga, reiki etc. A drive of 20 minutes will take you to two major shopping malls and a choice of golf clubs. There are plenty of forest walks too.

The Dandenong Ranges: This is a very special and picturesque area within Victoria. It is very popular with tourists and includes attractions such as Puffing Billy Train; Sherbrooke Forest; 1000 steps; William Rickets Sanctuary; Burrinja Cultural Centre; Mont De Lancey Histotic Homestead; SkyHigh Mount Dandenong.

**IMPORTANT** We live in an bushfire zone and so the sitter will need to be prepared to evacuate (with the cats) if there is an emergency and also on "extreme" fire-risk days in the summer months. The cats can be placed in a cattery.
