We live in a beautiful location in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, approximately 60 kilometres east of Melbourne, Australia, close to the rivers and foothill mountains of the Great Dividing Range. The Yarra Valley is also known for cool climate wines and beautiful food. Our four bedroom home is in a quiet location, approximately 1 kilometre from the centre of town. Situated on a 1/4 acre block, the garden has old established trees which are home to an abundant birdlife. The house is well heated with hydronic heating in each room as well as a radiant slow combustion wood fire with plenty of wood available. We have wifi and Telstra TV for those who like to relax in front of the TV or computer and an eclectic bookcase that you are welcome to peruse. We have two dogs who are indoors when we are home and at night but outdoors when we go out. Tia is a bouncy 4-year-old Rottweiler who is a big sook and Mooch is a 15-year-old Jack Russell. We also have 4-year-old Molly the cat who is an indoor girl only. We are looking for someone who can love our girls while we are away; we need someone who is confident in handling big dogs as well as old dogs. You need to be gentle with a quiet cat who takes her time to warm up to people she doesn't know but once she's sure of you she might ask if she can curl up beside you on the bed. The dogs sleep indoors. We would hope that you would be happy to play with them, talk to them, feed and cuddle them. Other duties around the house other than general everyday house stuff include cleaning Molly's tray daily, washing the dog bedding and maybe mowing the back lawn once or twice. We would need you to be able to come and visit a couple of times before we go away so the dogs can get to know you a little bit.
