I need someone to look after a modest, 1960s three bedroomed brick home in a quiet street not far from the CBD. Modern evaporative and reverse cycle air conditioning. Foxtel tv, wi-fi, modern appliances. Various shady areas around a pretty backyard. Involves caring for Rusty, the elderly cat, feeding and watering three indoor birds (galah, cockatiel and kakariki), a very small outside aviary and around 20 friendly egg laying hens! The hens need locking in at night and letting out in the morning. Garden is under irrigation, just needs taps being turned on and off on veggie patch. Property is fully fenced and secure. There is also a young German Shepherd girl but I'm happy to have her in boarding kennels if house sitters would prefer it. Mildura is a friendly, historic town with numerous tourist attractions including paddle steamers on the Murray River. It is very picturesque and there is plenty to do in the locality. It has a thriving Arts Centre, theatre, and art galleries, and is renowned for its many great restaurants to suit all budgets.
