We have a small farm (70 acres) in the Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. We run 6 cows, 4 donkeys and a romney sheep stud (approximately 70 sheep). We have wonderful neighbours who will be on call in case of problems with the farm animals and a vet on notice in case of emergency. We would only require our sitter to walk around the farm animals every couple of days to check on the stock and perhaps feed out hay if the season is poor. We have a comfortable 3 bedroom home and a chalet that is usually let out as a B&B (but not while we are away). We are looking for someone who is comfortable with the farm animals we have and enjoys the country lifestyle. We are not directly on the bus route so a car will be necessary and a driving licence.
