Requirements

Hi -

Our quaint Victorian cottage is in the gorgeous country town of Kyneton, Macedon Ranges. We have:

- 2 bedrooms (1 super king and 1 double)

- Bedroom 2 has a desk and study area

- 1 bathroom with shower

- A lounge with 2 sofas, a large flat screen TV/Netflix/Stan/Xbox/WiFi, a bookcase full of books to read and a fireplace with wood burner (firewood provided)

- Aircon in lounge and main bedroom.

- Hydronic heating in every room.

- A kitchen/diner fully kitted out with cooking implements, utensils, crockery, stove, oven etc. (No dishwasher or microwave).

- Washer and Dryer

- A 400sqm garden with Weber BBQ, outdoor setting and hopefully some veggies

- Off street parking.

We are a 10 minute walk from the Vline station for train links to Melbourne (75 mins) Woodend (10mins), Castlemaine (20mins), Bendigo (45mins).

Easy walking distance to High Street, Gym/Pool, Piper Street with all its top class restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes, art galleries and shops.

Within 20 minutes drive you have Daylesford, Trentham, Hanging Rock, Mount Macedon, Lancefield, Malmsbury and a huge array of walking trails, cycle trails, wineries, breweries and more.

We are walking distance from the Kyneton Botanical Gardens and the Campaspe River Walking Track. There are lawn bowls, a croquet club and a library nearby. A farmers market once a week in Kyneton or one of the nearby towns and a Woolworths, IGA and independent local delis, greengrocers ANZ butchers all walking distance.

We are looking for someone to housesit for us while we visit family in the UK for 4 weeks over Christmas/Jan

This would involve looking after our 7 yr old British Shorthair cat, Boris. He is very affectionate once he gets to know you. He is mainly an indoor cat but enjoys time in the fully enclosed garden on most days. He can be left alone for a maximum of 24 hours/overnight with no problem, to give you extra flexibility but he loves company and cuddles. He is insured and there is a vet within 5 mins walking distance...just in case.

We are also currently establishing our garden, including lots of nice herbs and veg, so I’m hoping that whoever stays will be willing to keep an eye on the garden for us, in exchange for fresh veg (hopefully) if you’d like to pick it whilst you’re here. It’s a work in process. Depending on the weather things will need watering and harvesting regularly.

More details available ... but these are the basics
