Due to a house sitter not able to make it, we are urgently looking for someone to house sit for us at short notice. We have a 4 bedroom house on Kawana Island on the Sunshine Coast which is surrounding by flat walking and bike pathways, 5 mins to local beaches and within walking distance of a couple of restaurants. Also close to bus routes if needed. We are looking for house sitter/s to take care of our house and a male English staffy, Peekay, who enjoy walks on the local dog beach and in the surrounding area. We would like housesitters who preferably do not work or work from home so that the dog isn't left for too long a period on his own. Our house has a pool which does not need too much maintenance and there are a few plants to water. We do have a small lawn which might need mowing but are also happy to get a service if that is not possible. We have a weekly cleaner who comes 2 hrs a week to do a general clean and we are happy to pay for this while you are housesitting. The house comes with unlimited wifi, Netflix, BBQ, dishwasher etc.

Please note our house is currently on the market and if we don't have an unconditional contract before we leave on the 26 June we will need whoever housesits to be prepared to have a half hour open home on a Saturday at a time that is convenient for you. Our staffy would need to be taken away from the property for a walk or something during the half hour. Our cleaner usually comes on a Monday but she will try as far as possible to clean instead closer to Saturday for the open home. Please do not apply if you are not comfortable having an open home. We can also shorten the house sit to the 16 July as a friend can collect the dog if needs be. We can arrange secure caravan parking on another property that we have 5 mins drive away.
