I am looking for 20th June to end of October as I need to go to Alaska. I live near the wonderful Cradle Mountain National Park World Heritage area of Tasmania, Australia. If you are thinking of moving down to Tasmania, this is a good way to experience this wonderful place. You can earn a little income by looking after this part of my home.

I have a country acre organic veggie garden and chooks, (chickens), three sheep who mow my lawn and my dog, a grey hound I adopted called Pearl. I need a sitter who will look after my home and garden, run my dog. You need to understand organic gardening, no poisons please and use a chainsaw, use my prunings to replace the wood you burn. This is most important.

Mostly I need a good communicator as I will be on the other side of the world-:)

I live only 40 mins from the lovely world heritage Cradle Mountain and 30 mins. Devonport the opposite way. I have a canoe and tennis courts are only under 2ks away where the local Wilmot shop is, and a primary school, town hall. Indoor Bowls in the winter at the Hall.

It will be winter hear so who ever comes need to be aware of this, that it gets -3 C up to 16 C. I have a wood stove, a Rayburn II, very antique, hahaha! but it is great for cooking and heating the water free. I live in an alternative way, it works for me. I am looking for a special environmental skilled person who understand how to save water when there is a drought in wintertime, how to fix my lawnmower and water pump when it breaks down,and how to save water as all things come from rain and no connection to the mains, thank goodness,

You also have the choice to stay hear with me for the summer as I am also a CouchSurfer host and a HelpX host, teaching folk about our environment and organic gardens, etc. 'Permaculture'. I am an artist, painting, sculpture and glass work. I also teach Glass, Art, Painting, Massage and Music and Landscaping.

Responsibilities are required of house sitters are, mow the lawn around the home, and keep garden weeded, pick, plant and use veggies , gather eggs and eat and sell them to my friends who love to buy them. Clean the chook (chicken)house and compost. Keep the fences safe so the sheep do not get into the veggie garden or the home garden. Keep the home clean. Look after 4 sheep, they are friendly. Water my plants when it dose not rain.

Sometimes there is Platypus in the pond and ducks so keep an eye on the native animals and keep my dog confined by putting her on a lead when in that area.

BTW. The mobile dose NOT work in my home, But NBN unlimited is hear. Cell phone works 200 metes up the road but sms slips through with Wireless NBN
