Hello

Mount Barker is an expanding city, home to 14,452[1] residents, that is 33 kilometres up the South Eastern Freeway, east of Adelaide CBD district, in South Australia. It is the seat of the District Council of Mount Barker, the largest town in the Adelaide Hills, and one of the fastest growing areas in the state.

Mount Barker lies at the base of a local eponymous peak, called the Mount Barker summit. It is 50 kilometres from the Murray River.

Our home is a medium sized 3 bedroom home (only 2 would be able to be used during house sit), we have a small vegie patch and a fairly easy to care for garden.

Laratinga Wetlands is the District's 'jewel in the crown' - winner of several awards, including the United Nations Association of Australia World Environment Day Award.

We have a rescue greyhound (Twiggy)who we adopted , a cheeky inside only cat (Bob), and our Pomeranian cross Chihuahua, Basil.. We want our pets to be happy and secure while we are away and them being in their home is the most ideal solution for us.

Things to do

Collect mail, look after garden. But most importantly are our pets, Greyhounds are not really like what you'd expect, they are real couch potatoes, love their soft toys, could almost walk her with a bit of cotton for a leash. Don't need lots of walking, but perhaps at least once a day for about 30 minutes if the weather is ok. Basil is Twiggys little friend and Bob bosses them both about. Our pets are really a big part of our family.
