Amiens is 18 kms NW of Stanthorpe in SE Queensland. It is a well known wine growing district with many opportunities to enjoy rugged outdoor activities in nearby national parks and participate in music, food and wine events associated with the multicultural district of the Granite Belt. Stanthorpe is the coldest town in Queensland because of its elevation and has. on occasions, had significant snow falls. Spring is a particularly beautiful time with a huge diversity of wildflowers and flowering of deciduous fruit trees. At this time the weather should display warm sunny days and nights to enjoy a hearty log fire.

Our 70 acre property is surrounded on 2 sides by state forest and is located on a quiet gravel road. The house is brand new (will be less than a year old by August) and features all mod cons. It is warm and cosy with a large wood burning heater. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with lovely outlooks from every window.

We have 2 elderly, very spoilt dogs and 1 much younger cat. We have a pet flap on the house so the pets can be quite independent.

The nearest shops are in Stanthorpe so sitters would need a car but there are wineries and restaurants not far away
