We have one desexed female Beagle, seven years old, very fit and an escape artist if given the chance. We have a well-fenced dog yard with dog flap access into the house. The dog sleeps on a dog bed in a corner of the lounge room. For the dog's health and the serenity of the human occupants, a daily walk for 45-60 minutes is recommended in the afternoon. Other than that she is well behaved. AMENDED DATES. Our departure date is 15 May when we will be driving to Sydney in the afternoon. Our return flight is late 18 June so we would not be back home until 19 June.

We are on a rural block to the north of Canberra. The nearest suburbs are Hall and Spence, about 10 minutes drive. A car is essential unless the house-sitters are keen cyclists.

The house is sunny, well insulated and comfortable with underfloor heating supplied by an electric heat-pump. Internet access is good, with Wi-Fi coverage throughout the house. Telstra has the best mobile coverage in this area. Other networks are patchy in the house but good within a short walk.

The kitchen is electric with a gas cooktop.

We have three horses on agistment, looked after daily by their owners.

Occasional watering of indoor and outdoor plants will be required. We would appreciate some garden maintenance by those with green fingers as we never seem to have enough time to do justice to the garden.

The grass is unlikely to require mowing, although a ride-on mower is available.
