We are a retired couple and are looking for a practical, outdoorsy person or couple interested in enjoying a rural life style and keeping our two dogs happy. Our dogs are used to company so our preference is for someone who is retired, works from home or is holidaying.

We live in a well-tended, comfortable home on a very pleasant 25 acre property in the picturesque lower Hunter Valley of NSW. We have prolific birdlife, and kangaroos and wallabies are often to be seen. We are situated 45 minutes from Newcastle beaches, 20 minutes to Lake Macquarie, 30 minutes to the vineyards, and it's only 15 minute drive to supermarkets and 30 minutes to cinemas and a large shopping centre.

Our two cattle dogs are friendly and well-trained. They are easily exercised in 15 minutes twice a day using our quad bike. If you are active they are happy to accompany you in the paddocks or on a lead. They love to be your companion.

We have a low maintenance garden with minimal watering and a ride-on-mower to use for the house yard and immediate surrounds.

There is plenty of space for parking a caravan, motorhome or bus.

The house-sit starting date could be up to a week later and the end date is reasonably flexible.
