We have a beautiful little 3-bedroom house in a beautiful street in peaceful Asquith, 40 minutes from the Sydney CBD and close to beautiful national parks. The house is surrounded by a garden which mainly takes care of itself and does not need much care. We are a little pet rescue haven and have 3 ex-battery hens who live in the garden, free range in half of it and basically take care of themselves letting themselves in and out of their coop via a solar powered automatic door. They also lay 3 eggs a day which we share with them as they love gobbling up their own creations. We have 4 guinea pigs who live inside the house in winter and are very snuggly and low maintenance. They love their treats, their hay and a cuddle and are very friendly guys. And we have Maggie, our 10 year old rescue dog, a little 4.5kg mini foxie who is a calm, kind and gentle soul. She likes people but avoids younger kids that don't respect her boundaries. She does not like other dogs which must mainly stem from her months in the pound and though we are doing lots of positive training in regards to this, she will probably never warm up to them again. Which is fine because she loves her home, her sleep and her humans. Although it sounds like a lot of little souls to look after, Maggie is our main pet to sit as the neighbours are well trained helping out with the hens and the guineas and they really don't need much of a fuss.

You would mainly have to look after Maggie who has a 30min walk in the morning and a 30min walk in the afternoon, eats twice a day and otherwise likes to cuddle up next to you when you are at home or in one of her many beds when you're out. The chickens look mostly after themselves, they just need to be fed in the morning and you need to make sure they tucked themselves in at night. In the morning you can collect their 3 fresh eggs and once a week the coop needs a bit of a clean ( an easy 5 minute job). The guinea pigs have their food in the morning and a little treat at night and love a cuddle anytime but can be very independent and unsupervised as well. They house just needs a little bit of a vacuum and wipe as any place and the garden is taking care of itself in winter.
