Hi, we have a cat and 5 chickens to be cared for. Our house is large, and very comfortable, with reverse cycle air conditioning as well as log fires. It has open plan living with new kitchen and bathrooms as well as wrap around verandahs, and a great outdoor entertaining area. The floors are of polished wood. The gardens are easily maintained with some mowing and maybe watering of a few potplants on the verandah. We have NBN and wireless Wifi, plus Foxtel. Stroud is a beautiful, historic village of 750 people that has every facility you would need. It is situated in the Karuah River valley on the way to Barrington National Park. It is one hour or less to the Hunter Valley Vineyards, Newcastle, Port Stephens and The Barringtons. The weather at this time would be mild to absolutely fantastic in September.
