If you haven't yet confirmed your xmas holiday plans, maybe spend a few days in the Barossa? We're looking for house-sitters for our lovely historic Barossa Valley stone cottage, looking after the house and our pets: 8 y.o. dog Gina, 12 y.o. cat Obi and 5 chickens.

We live on a 28 acre property in Southern Barossa, in the foothills of the Adelaide Hilla, 1km from Williamstown, 6km from Lyndoch, 12km from Gawler and in the heart of everything that the region has to offer.

The fully renovated home is a 114-year old cottage, with a beautiful blue stone original frontage. You will have free wi-fi, large outdoor patio, sunny deck with a view of the vineyards, etc.

Adelaide is 50 min by car, or there's a regional bus connecting Williamstown to Gawler, from where you can take the train to Adelaide CBD. There's a well-stocked supermarket in Lyndoch and all the big supermarket chains and plenty of other shops in Gawler.

There's plenty to do: nature walks in the neary conservation parks, kayaking and fishing at the Warren Reservoir, swimming at the Williamstown pool, a cinema in Gawler, a concert hall in Nuriootpa, and of course so many cafes, bars, wineries and restaurants all around Barossa and the Adelaide Hills, with many cultural, historical or nature sites to explore in the region.

We are looking for a reliable, honest, clean and tidy couple (non-smokers) to look after our house and pets.

Caring for our pets is quite easy too: just feeding them twice a day, ensuring they have fresh water. Being on a large property, Gina the dog doesn't require walking as she'll happily follow you around within the property anyway and go for her own adventures.

We are neat and tidy people, so we are wanting someone who is house-proud and will keep our home clean and tidy.

No children (as the property isn't child-proofed) or pets, sorry.
