We are urgently seeking house/pet sitter. We live about 100klm from Adelaide on the Fleurieu Peninsula on a 33 acre property which is close to the beach, walking tracks, wineries, cafes & restaurants. We are looking for a couple to care for our 4 horses, 2 ducks, 2 dogs, 13 sheep & a few fish while we are away. We have a 3 bedroom home with fantastic views over the Coorong & Murray mouth. The garden is to care for but you may need to water the potted plants & plants on the deck. We would like a couple who are confident around horses &have some understand of horse health issues. My Appaloosa (24) & the 2 mini ponies (14 & 26) can get Laminitis when the grass it too rich. The Thoroughbred is 28 and has 2 hard feeds a day plus will require rugging in the cold weather. The 2 dogs are Shammy (ridgeback x mastiff - 13) & a 7 yr old Koolie Blaze. Shammy has separation anxiety issues so will need to be securely contained if left on his own, they are both gently & well behaved but do sleep indoors.
