Hello. We need somebody to house and dog sit from mid December until early January. The property is a 70 acre bush block surrounded by State Forest in Tasmania. The house and garden area is fenced and so totally keeps possums and snakes out. We are 12 minutes' drive from the nearest town. We live in a lovely 2 bedroomed mud brick shack. We are totally off grid with a brilliant solar system and solar hot water system. There may be veggies to pick and depending on the weather fruit - blueberries, strawberries, plums, peaches or cherries. We have a great automatic irrigation system the only thing you should need to do is top up the pump and run it one time. Our dog is an active 10 yr old Labrador x Mastiff. He will need feeding breakfast and tea, and taken for a reasonable walk (1/2hr) on the block in the morning and a 10 min walk in the evening. He has a bed inside and outside the house. He does not travel anymore. He loves treats. He is very intelligent and will miss us very much while we are away. We would prefer a couple or one person and no other pets. Preferably a non smoker. We have Telstra internet which works but is a bit slow sometimes. If you are keen to get away from the rat race, enjoy the peace and quiet and chat to my dog for a few weeks please get in touch.
