We are on Barkers Road Kew not too far from Carey Grammar and the 109 tram line along Cotham Road and near Auburn railway station.

We have a beautiful period home (some minor restoration works pending/continuing but downstairs is all ready) with some lovely antiques and modern appliances/kitchen/bathroom/TV system/Foxtel etc.

Despite its age, the house has survived intact a number of pets including currently our six-year old Golden Labrador Maximus (Max) who is the closest real thing to Tigger in Winnie the Pooh - he is a bouncing, happy, excited pet who has boundless energy and lives for love and attention. Fully house trained, he loves to frolic in the large back yard when we are out and about but prefers to curl up inside in his dog bed when we are around or just lie down next to me when I am working on the computer or watching TV or cooking (just in case I drop something - he is a Labrador after all).

We need someone who loves dogs and can walk Max once or preferably twice a day for about 30 - 60 minutes and can stay over to keep him company at night. He will understand if you need to go to work or study during the day (just give him a bone and let him play in the yard). He will even let you go out at night to have fun but he expects you to come home before sunrise so he can get a pat and cuddle. Just leave him inside at night and he will be happy to wait in his dog bed.

Max has asked us to make sure we leave plenty of dry dog food for him and to tell you where the butcher is who provides the big marrow bones he loves to chew on.

Finally, he won't mind if you bring a two-legged friend or friends along to stay with you provided you don't give them all the attention!!

Just take care of Max and the house and we'll be happy.
